Saddlers Head Coach Mat Sadler has once again hailed the unbelievable away supporter that will be backing his team on the road again on Good Friday as we prepare to take on MK Dons at Stadium MK.
Ahead of the fixture, supporters sold out both the initial and additional allocation of tickets meaning that nearly 1,400 Walsall fans will be in attendance on the day to cheer on the team.
It’s the sixth time so far in the league this season when Sadler and his team have been backed by over 1,000 travelling fans and the Head Coach was keen to recognise the support, especially over the Easter period.
“We have got another game where we have got upwards of 1,300 supporters going to it which I think is the sixth time this season in the league we have had over 1,000 supporters backing us away from home which I mean is unbelievable support, especially over Easter,” said Sadler.
“There are all different kinds of things going on over this time of year in everyone’s lives so for our supporters to give up their time to come and see us, to support us, I shouldn’t be surprised because it is what they have done all year but it’s a testament to them because they are really coming out in force and coming to support us and be right behind us.”
MK Dons currently sit top of the home form table for League Two having lost just three games all season and the Head Coach also highlighted the work that his counterpart has done since being appointed back in mid-October.
“Mike Williamson has done an unbelievable job since he has gone in there,” he continued.
“I was looking at something the other day and over the last 25 to 30 games, they are top of the form table, they have done brilliantly since he has come in.
“It’s no coincidence the way Mike goes about it that they are doing well. They have got some very, very good players so we have to be right on it and it is one for us to look forward to.”
